Elevating Brands in Kentucky: Melanie J Sparks' Kentucky Branding Session
Today on the blog, we are talking all about my most recent branding session. I'm gonna take you behind the lens, sharing everything that goes into the experience from start to finish! With branding photography, each session is carefully crafted to celebrate the uniqueness of every brand. And that's a big part of why I'm always so excited when I get the chance to take on a branding session. They make the planner side of my brain so freaking happy, and I absolutely love capturing the heart and soul of a business. Today's featured session holds an extra special place in my heart, though, as the beautiful business owner is also my momma. Not only is she an awesome mom, but she has also inspired and supported me so much in my own journey as a business owner. This is our third branding session together, and I've loved getting to see the growth in both of our businesses along the way.
I always start my branding experiences with a questionnaire & discovery call to get a feel for the brand's story and overall vibe. This step is vital so that when we move into the planning phase, I can let the brand's identity shine and craft a session that will resonate with their target audience. During the planning phase, we work together to find the perfect locations and select props & outfits that reflect the brand's aesthetics. I also send a link to my session guide and start creating a custom shot list to help my clients feel as prepared as possible.
When selecting the ideal location for Melanie's branding photoshoot, we knew that her beautiful home in the heart of Kentucky was the right fit. I'm gonna take a moment here to brag on her because it can definitely be intimidating being in front of the camera for a session like this. But she still showed up with confidence and rocked it. And can we take a moment to appreciate how she absolutely nailed outfits & props for this session? They were so perfectly on brand for her business. I'm obsessed with every single thing about this session.
